There is no denying it: New Balance sneakers are back.
After years of disappearance, I once again see the iconic 574 on everybody’s feet, especially the younger ones (but not only).
The other day, I noticed that my father had a new pair of sneakers on his feet. Curiously, I asked him if he knew what model they were, and he confidently replied that they were the New Balance classic 574.
New Balance has an old story. The company was founded in 1906 and is one of the world’s major sports footwear manufacturers. New Balance shoes tend to be more expensive than the majority of manufacturers from the same quality, but the brand justifies it by saying it produces primarily in the USA.
New Balance sneakers have several technical features, such as blended gel inserts, heel counters and a greater selection of sizes, particularly for very narrow and/or very wide widths. My favorite model and one I’ve been wearing all my life (and now, also my dad) is the 574.
They are incredibly popular because they are comfortable and have multiple versions in endless colors.
Some of the most popular colors for the New Balance 574s are gray and black. The shoes are made out of suede and feature a durable match upper lip. Tha reduces blisters and rubbing that may occur during walking or running.
The bottoms of the shoe feature strong rubber that can last years and years. The 574 has been re-launched recently in 4 colors – navy, burgundy, black and nimbus cloud (which is basically grey).
The New Balance 574 Classics are a good choice for sneaker wearers who are into classic designs. They have a pocket-friendly price. I highly recommend them.
