Nike just released a new version of the iconic Cortez
Nike released the Cortez as the first official track shoe designed by an Olympic track coach, Bill Bowerman. He created this model to give runners a more comfortable running shoe in long distances and rough terrain.
First, they became iconic: Tom Hanks wore them as Forrest Gump while running across the country and and Olympians have worn them while representing the U.S.A. ever since they were designed.
Now, Nike is betting on the classic model by making Bella Hadid the newest face of the shoe. The brand just released 4 new versions in new colorways: “Ruby Red”, “Black Diamond” and the two Cortez Jewel iterations.
The Cortez Jewel comes in white and black and sports a minimalist look with sleek leather uppers and tonal details on the tongue, laces and the sole.
Finally, both the white and black pairs a feature a mini metallic silver Swoosh on the lateral. You can buy them at any Nike store for $100 USD. One of the best shoes of the season, you can never go wrong with a classic like this.
