A collaboration that comes from space
You might know the National Aeronautics and Space Administration as NASA. NASA is an american independent agency responsible for space programs, aeronautics and aerospace research. You wouldn’t believe that they also produce sneakers, but that news doesn’t come from space.
In fact, Nasa has collaborated with the American manufacturer of skateboarding shoes Vans. NASA and Vans teamed up for a themed pair of Old Skool sneakers. Old Skool is Vans most iconic sneaker model.
The two brand created a modern take on the classic shoe. It features a simple red NASA logo on the white leather exterior, with tongue tags that say “shuttle” and “mission.” The classic low-top features white leather uppers, tongue portions in grey denim textiles, exposed foam padding on the collar liners, and rubber midsoles.
Despite initial reports that the two brands were only creating one sneaker, new info shows that there is actually a full collection.
The new line features Vans Old Skool, Vans SK8-Hi and Vans Slip-on. National Aeronautics and Space Administration later said that they are working as well in a backpack and duffel bag. We already know that the collection drops on October 1. However, pricing and store location details have not been confirmed.
