Tingest Designs says home training equipment can be chic
For years, workout gear was ugly, simple and mainly functional. Training objects should be functional. Therefore, there is often no concern to make them good looking. Now, Tingest Designs is here to change that.
A Swedish design studio called Tingest Designs decided to put an end on unattractive workout gear and make it beautiful enough to be put in the living room or bedroom.
Keeping that goal in mind, Tingest Designs created a collection of minimalistic yet beautiful workout gear. The collection includes dumbells, a slimline kettlebell, hula hoop, and a vault horse.
Firstly, we got a first look of the products at Stockholm Furniture Fair. The studio founder, Alexander Lervik stated that in times where we often live in such limited space it was important for the designers behind this project to create stylish equipment that they could put in a shelf when it’s not in use.
Most of all, we can notice the studio’s Scandinavian design heritage. Most noteworthy, production of the takes place in Sweden using natural materials that promote sustainability and ecology.
